The Miami Dolphins released an update on wide receiver Grant DuBose’s injury after fans witnessed a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH6ZTn0hWaA">collision on the field</a> — a collision that resulted in a blow to DuBose&#8217;s head and his having to be carted off the field with his arms and legs strapped down to a stretcher.
On Monday, a statement on X from the <a href="https://x.com/MiamiDolphins/status/1868680328312668209">NFL team</a> about DuBose read, “After sustaining a head injury in yesterday’s game, Grant DuBose remained at a local Houston hospital for evaluation overnight. He has movement in all extremities and initial tests have revealed positive results. He remains under the care of doctors for continued observation.”
The injury occurred on Sunday in Houston during the Dolphins&#8217; game against the Texans. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa dropped back to pass and DuBose went up to catch the ball when Texans defensive back Calen Bullock went to block the play, and the two hit helmet to helmet, after which DuBose fell to the ground and his head hit the turf.

DuBose clenched both his fists and remained on the field motionless until emergency personnel rushed to the field, the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/dolphins-grant-dubose-injury-ee9725cd29930e910e05f02c7247b8fc">Associated Press</a> reported. They worked on him on the field for about 10 minutes before the medical crew cut his jersey and secured a neck brace, putting him on a spine board where his arms and legs could be secured.
The clenching of the fists could be what is often referred to as the “fencing response,” which is common after a severe brain injury, the outlet noted.
Players from his team got into a <a href="https://x.com/RGIII/status/1868389296404918746" target="_blank" rel="noopener">circle and took a knee to pray</a> while medical staff tended to DuBose on the field. At an after-game press conference, Tagovailoa spoke to the media calling it “very unfortunate” and said it was “very tough to have seen live.”
The Miami QB, who has had his share of concussions, said he felt awful after it happened.
“I’m my toughest critic when it comes to ball placement,” Tagovailoa said, “when it comes to knowing where to go with the ball and all of that. I just feel bad that I even put him in that situation to have gotten hit.”
&#8220;We all know that I’ve gone through something similar, and that’s no fun,&#8221; <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/dolphins-give-grant-dubose-health-update-after-wide-receiver-leaves-game-stretcher">he added</a>. &#8220;You never want to be put in any of those situations, but you also understand that this is a physical sport. It’s a contact sport. Again, I just think of what I could have done to not put Grant in that situation.&#8221;

NFL star QBs Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa addressed the recent burglaries affecting players in the league following a string of break-ins over the last month during games.
On Wednesday, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cincinnati-bengals">Cincinnati Bengals</a> QB Burrow spoke to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDd__FLJluQ/?igsh=NjZiM2M3MzIxNA%3D%3D">members of the press</a> after he became the latest athlete to have his home broken into while he was on a road trip with his team.
“Obvioulsy, everybody has heard what has happened,” Burrow said at a press conference. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one and way more is already out there than I would want out there and that I care to share.”
It came after the Hamilton County’s Sheriff’s Office confirmed to <a href="https://www.wlwt.com/article/joe-burrows-house-broken-into-report-during-football-game/63148465">WLWT</a> that Burrow’s $7.5 million Ohio home was burglarized and ransacked during Cincinnati’s 27-20 win over the Cowboys in Texas on Monday.
The outlet reported that a 911 call came in from a woman whose daughter was staying at the QB’s home, saying, “Someone is trying to break into the house right now.”
“My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house,” the mom added. “She is staying there. He’s at the football game. She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.”

A second 911 call came from the person staying at Burrow’s house, saying, “Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.”

&#8220;We got personal security to take care of all of that. When we&#8217;re on the road, we&#8217;ve got someone with my wife, got someone also at the house, surveying the house,&#8221; Tagovailoa said.
&#8220;So I hope that if you decide to go to my house, you think twice,&#8221; he added, noting his security is armed.
The NFL recently issued a security alert to players and teams following two other break-ins at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs players <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/patrick-mahomes">Patrick Mahomes</a> and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/travis-kelce">Travis Kelce</a>.
In a memo obtained by the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/nfl-security-alert-burglaries-mahomes-kelce-960075221367266fbee98f711a74c094">Associated Press</a>, the league said homes of professional athletes have become “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups.”
The memo labeled the transnational crime rings “well-organized, sophisticated,” and urged the players to safeguard valuables and avoid publicly sharing check-ins on social media or any information about their homes and any luxury items they might own, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/cincinnati-bengals-qb-joe-burrow-home-burglary-rcna183666">NBC News</a> noted.
Officials noted that the homes are specifically being targeted when players are at their games.
A South American crime ring is believed to be the culprit in at least the Chiefs burglaries, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/10/sports/joe-burrows-home-broken-into-during-mnf-in-another-athlete-robbery/">New York Post </a>reported.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill said this week that the police officer who detained him after pulling him over just hours before kickoff on Sunday should lose his job over the incident.
Video from outside Hard Rock Stadium, where the Dolphins were gearing up for their season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, went viral as Hill was forcefully brought to the ground and handcuffed following a verbal spat with the officer.
During the incident, Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell pulled over to de-escalate the situation but was quickly handcuffed.

Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Director Stephanie V. Daniels said the department was investigating the incident.
“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted,” Daniels said in a <a href="https://x.com/MiamiDadePD/status/1832875203816284510">statement</a> posted to X. “I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”
Hill&#8217;s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that his legal team was considering taking action, calling the incident &#8220;completely unacceptable.&#8221;
&#8220;The most important thing is that Tyreek is OK physically. Mentally, he was very distraught about what happened,” Rosenhaus <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nfl-superstars-pre-game-arrest-sparks-police-investigation-officer-placed-on-leave">said</a>. “Tyreek has told me over and over he’s a big supporter of police. He was telling the police there, ‘I want to be a police officer in the future.’ But this is crazy, I’ve never seen anything like this.”

It was just a few months ago that police in Chicago attempted to pull over a man named Dexter Reed for driving with illegally tinted windows. I talked about this incident on the show at the time, when the media was trying to turn Reed into the next George Floyd. As soon as the traffic stop began, Reed began acting suspiciously. He repeatedly refused officers&#8217; commands to lower his window so they could see what was going on inside his car. Then he raised the tinted window to completely obstruct the officers&#8217; view of the inside of the vehicle. And then, within seconds, Dexter Reed <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaO3HPpewdw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">opened fire</a>.
Police officers train on footage like this all the time. There are hundreds of videos like it all over the internet. And they all tell the same story, which is this: When the police pull someone over, and that person attempts to hide what he&#8217;s doing, then the situation has just become extremely dangerous. All traffic stops involve some level of risk. But when someone rolls up a tinted window instead of complying, that risk gets exponentially higher. That&#8217;s especially true when the suspect has a criminal history. So police have no choice but to respond quickly and decisively, and potentially with force, because they&#8217;re in a life-threatening situation. Otherwise, they might get shot and killed before they can even see what&#8217;s coming.
As I said at the time, there was an attempt to portray Dexter Reed as some kind of BLM martyr. But it fell apart the moment this footage was released. Everyone understood why the officers drew their weapons. Everyone understood that Reed had put the officers in fear for their lives, even before he started shooting. The entire media-driven narrative &#8212; that Dexter Reed was an oppressed victim of police brutality &#8212; fell apart. And no one spoke of it again.

But there&#8217;s always someone waiting in the wings to claim that mantle of oppression, especially in an election year. And this week, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is going for it &#8212; even though his traffic stop, in many ways, has a lot of similarities to Dexter Reed&#8217;s. Tyreek Hill, like Dexter Reed, was pulled over for a lawful reason. In Tyreek Hill&#8217;s case, he was speeding near the Hard Rock Stadium, where the Dolphins play. That&#8217;s all caught on camera. And like Dexter Reed, Tyreek Hill also had an existing criminal record at the time of his stop, although the officers probably weren&#8217;t aware of that. In Hill&#8217;s case, that record included a prior guilty plea for serious offenses &#8212; including domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
And then, when he was pulled over, Tyreek Hill, like Dexter Reed, refused lawful orders to lower his tinted window. Instead, he started raising the window in clear defiance of the officers. Watch:

Instead of complying, Tyreek Hill rolled up a tinted window while the police were trying to talk to him. They responded aggressively to his belligerence. Then, Tyreek Hill refused to sit on the curb as instructed, saying he had just had surgery, so he can&#8217;t sit down. He can play in a professional football game a few hours later and score a touchdown, but he can&#8217;t possibly sit down. That&#8217;s just asking too much. So the officer again used some force, this time to put him on the curb. The officers also detained one of Hill&#8217;s teammates, Calais Campbell, after he approached the scene in the middle of the road. Ultimately the authorities cited Hill for reckless driving but didn&#8217;t arrest him. They also didn&#8217;t charge him for obstructing an officer, which is a misdemeanor in Florida punishable by up to a year in prison.
Speaking to reporters, Hill claimed he had “no idea” why he was placed in handcuffs. “No idea. It’s crazy. No idea. I wasn’t disrespectful because my mom didn’t raise me that way. Didn’t cuss. Did none of that. I’m still trying to figure it out… Don’t be disrespectful.”
Of course, the truth is that Hill could have avoided all of this by acting like an adult rather than a spoiled toddler. He knows that. Everyone watching the video knows that. But the media and the Left are pretending otherwise. They&#8217;re completely ignoring the evidence and running with the same narrative we&#8217;ve seen a million times before, even if the facts don&#8217;t remotely fit. Over on ESPN for example, they&#8217;re acting as if Tyreek Hill was just killed. They&#8217;re mourning him as if he died, by comparing him to a bunch of other BLM martyrs. Watch:

Just to be clear about this: Sandra Bland, Walter Scott, and Philando Castile are all dead. That&#8217;s not to relitigate all of those cases &#8212; all of which the media lied about to one degree or another. It&#8217;s just a fact. This guy is comparing several dead people to Tyreek Hill, who in fact is not dead. Tyreek Hill is very much alive. He&#8217;s still earning $30 million a year. He&#8217;s still a famous celebrity. What happened to Hill is that on Sunday, he endured a minor inconvenience that was entirely attributable to his own actions. This was such a minor inconvenience that he was able to play in a football game afterwards and mock the whole situation with a celebration after he scored a touchdown.
All of this fake hysteria is intended to obscure an obvious point, which is that Hill &#8212; like so many other BLM heroes &#8212; didn&#8217;t comply with lawful orders that were given by police officers. He put them in a dangerous situation as a result. And he suffered the predictable consequences of that decision. When the outraged ESPN personality says he&#8217;s &#8220;frustrated&#8221; that the country hasn&#8217;t &#8220;reckoned with race,&#8221; what he&#8217;s really saying is that black people should be able to do whatever they want when the police pull them over. They should be able to put the police in danger, apparently. Or maybe that&#8217;s only the case if they&#8217;re driving expensive cars, like Tyreek Hill was. Maybe the law just doesn&#8217;t apply to football players.
That&#8217;s the position of Tyreek Hill&#8217;s team, the Miami Dolphins. In a statement, the team said they &#8220;urge&#8221; the police department &#8220;to take swift and strong action against the officers who engaged in such despicable behavior.&#8221; The team didn&#8217;t even mention Tyreek Hill&#8217;s decision to put people in danger by driving recklessly on the way to the stadium. They didn&#8217;t mention that he disobeyed the officers&#8217; commands. They pretend as if the officers had no reason whatsoever to treat Hill like a potential threat to their lives. This is the lose-lose situation that cops are in. They&#8217;re being told that they have to ignore suspects who roll up their tinted windows, and just hope that it doesn&#8217;t turn out to be another Dexter Reed situation. If they do anything to protect themselves, those cops are “despicable.&#8221;

These are some of the most oppressed people in America. They were paid millions to play a game. Now they’re paid millions to talk about playing a game. But that doesn’t make them any less oppressed. Oh is that what you tell your kids? You tell them if the cops are there, get to some light? Have you considered telling them to comply with lawful commands? Have you thought about that? Why don’t you tell your kids to simply comply with lawful orders given by officers of the law? If they do that, then everything will be fine.
We’re told that black men are afraid of the cops. They’re terrified that they’re going to be executed on the spot. Tyreek Hill was afraid, allegedly. Well if that’s the case, why are you going out of your way to antagonize them? Why are you doing everything in your power to make your interactions with the police as stressful and contentious as possible? When I see videos like the one with Tyreek Hill — or any of the footage of any BLM martyr — I do not see black men who are afraid of the cops. I see black men who completely disregard the cops and act as though they are above the law and impervious to the basic rules and standards of conduct that govern the rest of us. If you’re afraid for your life while dealing with the cops, why would you roll up a tinted window? How is that going to make you safer? How is that going to make the situation LESS volatile? You are making it more volatile. You are directly, actively, making it into a more volatile situation.
But this does not occur to these kind of commentators. We can’t blame them for that. They’re emotional. In fact, these guys were so emotional that when they came back from commercial break, they were still comforting each other:

What brave warriors. What heroes. My God. They had to overcome the trauma of talking about a football player’s briefly unpleasant interaction with the police. They somehow had to soldier through and find a way to keep talking about football. It’s painful, you see. It’s painful to think about the minor inconvenience that a millionaire football player experienced. A minor inconvenience of his own making. They are shaken up. They are barely able to hold it together.
For his part, the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Mike McDaniel, was even more hysterical than the sports commentators. He appeared to be choking back tears as he said he couldn&#8217;t imagine what it&#8217;s like to be as oppressed as Tyreek Hill is. Watch:

Fifty years ago a guy this weepy and emasculated would never be the head coach of a football team. It just wouldn&#8217;t have been possible for a theater kid to get a job like this. But here we are. Mike McDaniel is &#8220;triggered.&#8221; It really messes him up, to not know &#8220;what it feels like&#8221; to be Tyreek Hill. He&#8217;ll never be able to experience that level of oppression.
But the coach could find out pretty easily. He could start driving his sports car, as recklessly as possible, around slow-moving traffic. And when he gets pulled over, he can roll up his tinted windows and dare the cops to do something about it. Very quickly, Mike McDaniel will experience something similar to what Tyreek Hill experienced on Sunday. And if that happens, Mike McDaniel would deserve to be forcibly removed from his car and treated like a threat, just like Tyreek Hill was.
Predictably, no one in the corporate press wants to point this out. Instead, they&#8217;re affirming Tyreek Hill&#8217;s story of racial grievance at every opportunity. Here&#8217;s CNN for example. Watch as they allow Tyreek Hill to claim &#8212; without any pushback &#8212; that, if he weren&#8217;t a football player, the police officers would have executed him on the side of the road. Watch:

Try to follow the logic here. According to Hill, the police knew he was a famous NFL player, with a very high profile. So they knew they had to be on their best behavior. That&#8217;s why they decided not to just shoot him outside the stadium. That&#8217;s what the police supposedly do to every other black person, but they don&#8217;t do it to NFL players. At the same time, according to Tyreek Hill, these same police officers didn&#8217;t have any problem risking their entire career just to rough him up on camera for no reason. So they&#8217;re cautious police officers, but they&#8217;re also extremely reckless at the same time.

That&#8217;s the explanation that flies on CNN, apparently. But it doesn&#8217;t make any sense. What makes more sense is that the police did exactly what they were trained to do, which is to treat everyone who behaves like Hill did &#8212; regardless of how much money they have &#8212; as a potential threat. That&#8217;s especially true when, like Dexter Reed, they have a criminal record and start rolling up their tinted window instead of complying.
The only way to explain the reaction from the corporate press, and the Miami Dolphins, is that these people really believe that a black man should be able to do or say literally anything he wants when confronted by police. Whatever happens will always be the cop’s fault, no matter what. The point is to absolve “people of color” of any blame.
But the effect is that they’re infantilized. They&#8217;re treated like children incapable of controlling themselves. They&#8217;re given no incentive to improve their own behavior. Instead, they&#8217;re given more incentive to act like Tyreek Hill &#8212; with all the entitlement and hysteria that entails. We saw where that approach leads in 2020. It leads to police pulling out of black neighborhoods, and fewer people choosing to become police officers. And that, in turn, leads to a lot more black people dying. Narcissists like Tyreek Hill claim they&#8217;re afraid of that outcome. In reality, they&#8217;re doing everything they can to ensure it keeps happening.

Just hours before the Miami Dolphins were set to kick off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, star Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by police following a traffic violation.
It is unclear what the traffic violation entailed or what happened when Hill was pulled over, but the situation somehow escalated, resulting in Hill being handcuffed face down on the ground, according to video of the incident.

A second Dolphins player, defensive tackle Calais Campbell, said he was also handcuffed after he tried to discuss the situation with officers, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/08/sport/tyreek-hill-detained-miami-dolphins-nfl-spt-intl/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Hill was released shortly after the detainment, and Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Director Stephanie V. Daniels said that the department was investigating the incident.
“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted,” Daniels said in <a href="https://x.com/MiamiDadePD/status/1832875203816284510" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> posted to X. “I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”
Hill said during a postgame press conference that he doesn’t know why he was handcuffed, insisting he wasn’t disrespectful to the police.

“I wasn’t disrespectful because my mom didn’t raise me that way, didn’t cuss, didn’t do none of that. Like I said, I’m still trying to figure it out,” Hill said, according to CNN.
The Dolphins also released a statement regarding the incident prior to the game.
“This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police,” the Dolphins <a href="https://x.com/MiamiDolphins/status/1832796595152109572" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said on X</a>. “He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support. Tyreek and all other players involved have safely arrived to the stadium and will be available for today’s game.”
The Dolphins – with Hill’s help – beat the Jaguars after overcoming a 14-0 deficit. Hill had seven catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. During his touchdown celebration, Hill placed his hands behind his back in an apparent nod to his arrest earlier in the day.
Campbell, the other player placed in handcuffs, said that the incident highlighted the team&#8217;s “resilience.”
“But that just goes to show how our resilience though. We didn’t let that stop us,” Campbell said. “We just got back in line, got focused again, and went out there and played a good football game. But that definitely was an interesting way to start a ballgame.”
Following the game, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus told CNN that his legal team would “pursue this matter” and “consider legal action.”
“What happened today to Tyreek at the stadium is completely unacceptable,” Rosenhaus told the outlet. “Tyreek did not deserve to be treated that way by the police involved.”
The agent told ESPN that the incident unnerved Hill.
“The most important thing is that Tyreek is OK physically. Mentally, he was very distraught about what happened,” Rosenhaus said on ESPN, according to CNN. “Tyreek has told me over and over he’s a big supporter of police. He was telling the police there, ‘I want to be a police officer in the future.’ But this is crazy, I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Many of the comments pointed out that, while it&#8217;s not unheard of for fans to pay to see their teams play during the regular season due to regional broadcast rights, fans have never had to pay extra money to see an NFL playoff game.
&#8220;An absolute joke that a full NFL playoff game is exclusively on [Peacock],&#8221; one person wrote. &#8220;Steaming services are ruining sports broadcasts.&#8221;
Another added, &#8220;Probably just me but I think the NFL having a playoff game exclusively on Peacock is disgraceful. It&#8217;s never about the fans and always about the money. I hope it gets the lowest rating of any playoff game.&#8221;

The home of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/miami" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miami</a> Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill caught fire Wednesday while Hill was practicing with his team before the final week of the NFL regular season.
Footage showed smoke pouring out of the 9,300-square-foot mansion as firefighters battled the blaze. A Dolphins spokesman said that Hill left practice after the fire broke out and everyone who was in the home at the time was safe, NBC 6 <a href="https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/firefighters-battle-blaze-at-dolphins-star-tyreek-hills-home-in-southwest-ranches/3196499/">reported</a>.
“Tyreek has been in communication with his family. Everyone is out of the house and safe at this time. He has also left practice to deal with the situation,” the spokesman said.

NBC 6 also aired footage of four firefighters on the roof of Hill’s home, where they appeared to be cutting a hole in the roof to battle the fire. The star NFL receiver was later seen outside the home hugging his family members. Firefighters successfully put out the fire, and no injuries were reported, according to <a href="https://wsvn.com/news/local/broward/crews-put-out-fire-at-dolphins-receiver-tyreek-hills-mansion-in-southwest-ranches/">WSVN</a>.
Hill bought the Southwest Ranches, Florida, mansion in 2022 for $6.9 million, according to property records, NBC 6 reported. The home has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home theater, a full-size basketball court, a pool, and two guest houses.

A New England Patriots season ticket holder died Sunday night after he was <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12533829/New-England-Patriots-season-ticket-holder-53-beaten-death-Gillette-Stadium-Miami-Dolphins-cops-investigation.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> punched three times by a Miami Dolphins fan at the Patriots-Dolphins game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Dale Mooney, 53, of Newmarket, New Hampshire, a married father of two children, had attended the game with three friends; they told Mooney’s wife later that they were taunted in the 300-tier section during the game by other fans, WCVB <a href="https://www.wcvb.com/article/foxborough-massachusetts-new-england-fan-death-patriots-gillette-stadium/45194876" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported.</a>
Joseph Kilmartin, who witnessed the incident, said of Mooney, “He basically grabbed another fan. They started tussling around for a few minutes. At one point, another Dolphins fan walked over. He punched him three times, and the man just went out. It was pretty hard to watch.”
“It was really one punch that I saw and the victim got punched really hard on the side of the head, and went down. He&#8217;s a bigger guy but he just crumbled,” a witness told <a href="https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/district-attorney-state-police-investigating-fans-death-at-gillette-stadium-during-sundays-patriots-game/3138822/">NBC Boston</a>. “First responders got there and they instantly start doing compressions, they had to lay him out in the aisle between the seats. They were doing compressions by my estimation for easily 10 minutes. It was pretty heartbreaking and the game was still going on so the general public clearly knew what was going on in our section so the game was going on, people are cheering for the Patriots comeback, and this poor guy has passed away before our eyes. It was pretty brutal to watch.”
Mooney was transported to the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where he was pronounced dead.
“I just feel numb; I can&#8217;t even believe this is for real,” Mooney’s wife Lisa said. “I don&#8217;t understand why people have to go to that extreme. Why can&#8217;t it just be fun? That&#8217;s all it&#8217;s supposed to be, just a fun family event.&#8221; Mooney said she didn’t know of any medical condition her husband had that would precipitate a blackout, adding that he “has the patience of a saint. &#8230; I don&#8217;t know what happened &#8230; it takes a lot to get him mad.”
 “I would use this terrible situation as a reminder that this is just a game and people are just going to enjoy themselves and cheer on their team but everyone should be able to attend a game and feel safe in their environment,” a fan at the game commented.
The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office stated that “the matter remains under active investigation.” A spokesman for the state police sad they were investigating “the facts and circumstances of the man&#8217;s death, including the sequence of events prior to the medical incident.”

Tagovailoa has hit his head hard three times this season. The first mishap occurred during the Dolphin’s late September game against the Buffalo Bills and the second four days later when he was thrown to the ground by Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou, knocked unconscious and subsequently taken off the field on a stretcher. The NFL’s concussion protocol was instituted, but after the most recent hit on Sunday, Tagovailoa did not leave the game and the protocol was not implemented. After the Bengals incident, Chris Nowinski, co-founder and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports/miami-qb-tagovailoa-stretchered-field-sack-vs-bengals-rcna50124">condemned</a> the fact that Tagovailoa was allowed to play four days after the Bills hit, saying, “What happened to Tua was shameful. People should lose their jobs.”
“Our game has kind of moved to the softer side. Roughing the passer, it’s more like touching the passer now,” Griffin III said on ESPN. “But when we talk about these head injuries, it&#8217;s nothing to play with. You&#8217;ve got to put the person before the player. I&#8217;m more concerned about Tua and his longevity of life than I am about whether he is going to play on Sunday.”
‘We&#8217;ve seen guys like Luke Kuechly,  a teammate of mine, Jordan Reed, have to retire because of these head injuries,” he continued as he turned to fellow commentator Booger McFarland. “Booger, you know this: Guys have gone off the field and done things to hurt themselves and their families because of things that were suffered on the field, CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), all those things come into play.”
“So my mind is on what does this look like for Tua in the future? He should not play for the rest of the season, whether you call it two concussions or three, two incidents or three incidents, it&#8217;s a repeat,” he insisted. “And the hit that he really suffered the concussion on, or we think he suffered the concussion on, it wasn’t that violent of a hit. It was a routine play. But because his head smacked off the ground the repeat of all of those hits are starting to add up. So I’m more concerned about Tua and his family than I am about him playing the rest of the year.”

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa finally broke his silence Wednesday after he suffered a concussion in the team&#8217;s 27-15 loss against the Bengals on September 29.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nfl">NFL</a> star QB told reporters that he remembered everything up until the moment he was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-star-nfl-quarterback-rushed-to-the-hospital-after-devastating-hit">tackled on the field</a> against the Cincinnati team. He was off the field in a stretcher with a head and neck injury, according to <a href="https://www.si.com/nfl/2022/10/19/tua-tagovailoa-shares-frightening-details-from-night-of-concussion">Sports Illustrated</a>.
&#8220;I wouldn&#8217;t say it was scary for me at the time,&#8221; Tagovailoa told reporters. &#8220;There was a point where I was unconscious, so I couldn&#8217;t really tell what was going on. When I did come to and kinda realize what was going on, what was happening, I didn&#8217;t think of anything long-term or short-term. I was just wondering what happened.&#8221;

When pressed by one reporter if he &#8220;remembered much about that night,&#8221; the Dolphins player admitted there&#8217;s a gap in his memory after being hit.
&#8220;I remember the entire night up to the point where I got tackled,&#8221; Tagovailoa added. &#8220;But … after I got tackled, I don&#8217;t remember much from there. Getting carted off, I don&#8217;t remember that. But I do remember things that were going on when I was in the ambulance and then when I arrived at the hospital.&#8221;
In video that surfaced from the Miami-Cincinnati game, defensive tackle Josh Tupou can be seen sacking Tagovailoa, leaving him lying on the ground. As the QB was lying on the field for a while, his hands appeared to be twisted, something called a fencing reflex, <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/sports/tua-tagovailoa-speaks-out-for-first-time-since-concussion-after-i-got-tackled-i-dont-remember-much/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mediate</a> noted. He was taken to a hospital and and cleared to fly home later with the team.

Four days earlier, he was playing against the Buffalo Bills, where he was tackled to the ground. At the time, he appeared to suffer a head injury. He stood up and tried to shake it off, but wobbled, as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-star-nfl-quarterback-rushed-to-the-hospital-after-devastating-hit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported.
The star QB was then cleared by the league&#8217;s concussion protocol at halftime and finished the game. Later, he admitted he suffered a back injury.
Tagovailoa has once again been cleared by NFL concussion protocols and is expected to lead the Dolphins against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34818602/tua-tagovailoa-preparing-dolphins-starter-vs-steelers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ESPN</a> noted.

The <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/topic/miami-dolphins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miami Dolphins&#8217;</a> newly-acquired wide receiver <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/report-chiefs-wide-receiver-tyreek-hill-to-dolphins-in-blockbuster-trade/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tyreek Hill</a> only needed a few words to explain why he ultimately chose a life in the Sunshine State over a contract with the New York Jets — a trade he said was &#8220;very close to happening&#8221; at one point.
The reason was simple, he explained during a recent press conference discussing the deal: &#8220;Those state taxes, man.&#8221; Video of Hill&#8217;s explanation was shared via Twitter on Monday by Paul Andrew Esden Jr.

&#8220;The Jets were the other team that was vying to trade for you,&#8221; one reporter noted. &#8220;How close was that to happening?&#8221;
&#8220;You know what? It was very close to happening, man,&#8221; Hill replied. &#8220;But just, just, those state taxes, man. I realized I had to make a grown-up decision and now here I am in the great city of Miami. You know, great weather, great people, beautiful people I feel like, so, here I am.&#8221;
Hill previously played for the <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/kansas-city-chiefs-retire-warpaint-mascot-team-vows-to-keep-creating-opportunities-to-educate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kansas City Chiefs</a>, where he could have chosen to reside in either Kansas or Missouri. In Kansas, the state income taxes are calculated on a progressive scale that depends on income and ranges from 3.10% to 5.70%. In Missouri, the income tax rate is also on a progressive scale that hinges on income — and in that state, the rate ranges from 0% to 5.40%.
In New York, however, where Hill would have moved in order to play for the Jets, the progressive tax rates range from 4.00% to 10.90%. Hill — who is the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL going into the 2022 season — is <a href="https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/miami-dolphins/tyreek-hill-19119/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expected to earn</a> some $30 million in his first season with the Dolphins, including bonuses. If New York had offered him a similar contract, that could have resulted in him owing something in the neighborhood of $3 million in state income taxes alone.
The wide receiver opted instead to move to Florida, where there are no state income taxes at all.
Hill&#8217;s trade was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/report-chiefs-wide-receiver-tyreek-hill-to-dolphins-in-blockbuster-trade" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> in March at the start of the off season, and as ESPN reported, the Kansas City Chiefs got five draft picks — three in 2022 and two in 2023 — in exchange for the star wide receiver.
