If it was a joke; it’s wasn’t funny; it wasn’t cute, and if the woman was serious, it actually was downright evil.
Last week, a young woman known as Saipanting posted an alleged pregnancy announcement threatening to get an abortion unless she got enough retweets:

That was followed by the alleged father engaging in an exchange with the pregnant woman, either out of sincerity or playing along with what might have been a “joke” to begin with:
[[{“fid”:”24098″,”view_mode”:”default”,”fields”:{“format”:”default”,”field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]”:false,”field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]”:”screenshot from Twitter”},”type”:”media”,”field_deltas”:{“2”:{“format”:”default”,”field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]”:false,”field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]”:”screenshot from Twitter”}},”attributes”:{“title”:”screenshot from Twitter”,”class”:”media-element file-default”,”data-delta”:”2″}}]]
If the pregnant woman was serious, then her tweet reflects an appalling callousness toward her unborn child. If the whole thing was a joke, it was a disgusting display of a need for attention, by both the woman and the supposed father responding.
If the woman actually delivers the baby, will the woman put the picture of her tweet in a frame next to the crib?
