WATCH: Berkeley Students Chant ‘Speech Is Violence!’

Prior to and during Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro’s speech at Berkeley on Thursday, protesters gathered to voice their displeasure.

During one protest in particular, a group of people chanted: “Speech is violence! We will not be silent!”

As Shapiro noted in his speech, the idea that speech is violence is becoming more prevalent among those in the progressive movement. The end-game here is that if speech is violence, it can be controlled and ultimately restricted, effectively killing the First Amendment as we know it.
