An alleged Islamic terrorist slammed “infidels” in a Canadian courtroom on Friday, telling them that they and their country can “go to hell.”
Thirty-two-year-old Rehab Dughmosh — a Toronto-area woman — is currently facing 21 charges for a suspected terrorist attack in June which includes multiple attempted murder charges “for the benefit of or in association with a terrorist group,” CP24 reported.
According to police, Dughmosh allegedly tried to attack people at a tire store in Toronto with a large knife and golf club.
Dughmosh told a Canadian courtroom shortly after the attack that she was dedicated to ISIS.
“I am pledged to the leaders of the believers, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” Dughmosh said.
“I meant to harm those people,” Dughmosh continued. “I reject all counsel here. I only believe in Islamic Sharia law. I would like to revoke my Canadian citizenship that I received. I don’t want to have any allegiance to you.”
During a courtroom appearance on Friday, Dughmosh made harsh remarks toward those in attendance.
“Damn your legislation, damn your nationality, go to hell,” Dughmosh said through an interpreter. “Hey, you infidels, I do not worship what you worship.”
Ontario Superior Court Justice Robert Goldstein denied her request to be moved to another country where she could be tried in a court that practices Sharia Law.
“Your views about what system you would like to be tried under are completely irrelevant,” Goldstein told Dughmosh. “You should consider yourself lucky that you are caught up in a justice system of this nature rather than one that in your flight of fancy you seem to think is better.”
