Of the many thoughts one could conjure up about White House advisor Kellyanne Conway, a man who aided Hitler in his quest to exterminate Jews and conquer all of the Western world does not come to mind. For the writers of “The Simpsons,” however, it apparently does.
During Sunday’s episode of the ongoing cartoon series, Mrs. Conway was compared to none other than Hitler’s Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. The episode centered on Marge Simpson becoming the first female mayor of Springfield and her cabinet’s quest to boost her approval ratings.
“I’ll be the Kellyanne Conway of this thing!” a political advisor says to Marge.
“Kellyanne Conway!” a woman in a focus group says. “I like how she always looks like she just woke up.”
“I think it’s inspiring how now a woman can be Joseph Goebbels,” another woman replies.
Paul Joseph Goebbels became Adolf Hitler’s minister for public enlightenment and propaganda in 1933.
The worst attacks against Kellyanne Conway came earlier this year from “Late Night” host Stephen Colbert, who called her “Satan’s trophy wife.”
Conway has also been subject to a barrage of sexist attacks; feminists have not come to her aid.
Now Conway is akin to a Nazi responsible for the murder of six million Jews. Unbelievable.
