For those on the right who fear the “endgame” of the “bogus and illegitimate” Russia collusion investigation, the Big Voice on the Right has a message: defeat the Democrats in 2018 because the special counsel’s real goal is not really to indict President Trump but to provide Democrats the grounds to impeach him should they can win the House of Representatives.
Limbaugh spent much of his show on Monday speaking about Robert Mueller’s “collusion” investigation, the legitimacy of which has begun to implode amid revelations about anti-Trump/pro-Clinton and pro-Obama operatives playing key roles in the investigations into both Trump and Clinton.
Prompted by a caller who was worried about the “endgame” of the special counsel, Limbaugh finally landed on the primary message he wanted to convey to his audience: the investigation is not about collusion or counterintelligence or criminality. The investigation, said Limbaugh, “is an impeachment investigation.”
“It’s not a collusion investigation. It is not a counterintelligence investigation, and it’s not even a criminal investigation. This is an investigation where they hope to produce, not enough evidence … to persuade the American people because impeachment is a political event,” said Limbaugh.
That goal, said Limbaugh, requires that Democrats win the House in 2018, so Americans can expect for the sham investigation to “go on all through next year,” with the media continuing to try to prop it up and use it “to impact campaigns next year so that Democrats retake the House.”
“[W]hen Democrats retake the House, you watch how fast Mueller puts his investigation to bed and turns it over to the Democrats who will then be running the House, theoretically to begin preparation of articles of impeachment,” predicted Limbaugh. “That’s what all this is predicated on. Democrats control. If the Republicans control the House then all this is kind of moot.”
In other words, “If you want to stop Mueller, don’t let the Democrats win the House,” said Limbaugh.
Earlier in the episode, Limbaugh said the Democrats and their left-wing colleagues in the media know that the investigation is a “bogus,” “manufactured” trap set by the Obama administration.
“They’ve known from the get-go that Trump didn’t commit any crimes,” he said. “This is all manufactured from leaks in the deep state. This is a manufactured thing starting from the Obama administration. This comes from John Brennan at the CIA and James Clapper, the director of national service, and Obama acolytes scattered throughout deep state.”
The real motivation of the bogus probe, said Limbaugh, is “to exonerate Hillary, to save the Obama legacy, to nail Trump, and get rid of anybody who wants to try to help Trump.”
On Wednesday, Limbaugh stressed that while Mueller appears to be all-powerful, the reality is President Trump still has ultimate control should he feel it necessary to put an end to the charade by pardoning whomever he wants and firing whomever he wants, including Mueller.
