Reese Witherspoon hit back at critics who got all worked up about her recipe for a winter treat — which included scooping up fresh snow from outside.

It all started after the 47-year-old actress posted a video that’s since gone viral on TikTok about how to make a yummy treat on a cold day she dubbed a “snow salt chococinno.”

In the clip, the “Legally Blonde” star walked outside with two giant mugs — and she scooped up two cups of snow. She then went back inside and added salted caramel and chocolate syrup to the mug, topping off the whole thing with some cold brew.

“First we scooped the snow into cups and we added salt,” Witherspoon said. “And we added salted caramel syrup and chocolate syrup and then we decide to add some cold brew just to have a yummy coffee flavor.”

“Snow days were made for Chococinnos,” the actress captioned the post.

The video drew a fierce debate about whether or not it was “safe” to eat snow from outside, with commenters writing things like,” No no no … snow is not made to eat … you can get seriously sick.”

Another person added, “I thought eating snow was like dangerous to our health.”

While a third shared, “Can you put snow in a clear cup and let it melt. I just want to see if it’s safe to eat first.”

“The Morning Show” star reacted to the critics and pointed out that she grew up in a time when kids dared to drink unfiltered water.

“So many people on here saying that snow is dirty,” Witherspoon replied in a second clip. “So we went and took snow from the backyard and microwaved it.”

She then showed the mug with water that was totally clear and said, “I didn’t grow up drinking filtered water, we drank out of the tap water. We actually put our mouths on the tap.”

Witherspoon then laughed and said that for those saying she must first filter the snow, “I just can’t.” She added, “Filter snow? I don’t know how to do that,” and continued giggling.

Other commenters agreed with the movie star and wrote, “We survived the rusty hose water of the 1990’s summer … how bad can snow be?”

Another added, “I’ve had snow ice cream for 34 years and I’m still living.”
