<p>Former Obama administration officials are coming out of the woodwork to chastise President Trump in a coordinated effort to undermine the newly-elected president. Obama loyalists appear to suffer from collective amnesia; chief among the afflicted is Susan ‘Benghazi’ Rice, Obama’s national security adviser. On Tuesday, Rice penned an op-ed for <em>The Washington Post</em>, in which she blasted President Trump’s “false statements.”</p>
<p>&#8220;These false statements from the White House are part of a disturbing pattern of behavior that poses real and potentially profound dangers to U.S. national security,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/susan-rice-when-the-white-house-twists-the-truth-we-are-all-less-safe/2017/03/21/f7cdef86-0e45-11e7-9d5a-a83e627dc120_story.html?utm_term=.c319900259b3">writes</a>, without a hint of irony. &#8220;[W]hen a White House deliberately dissembles and serially contorts the facts, its actions pose a serious risk to America&#8217;s global leadership, among friends and adversaries alike.”</p>
<p>Several words come to mind when one glosses over her arrogant criticisms, but the term “hypocrisy” best fits Rice’s self-righteous lecture about honesty.</p>
<p>You may remember that this is the same woman who stepped down from her post as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations after propagating one of the most egregious lies since Watergate. Shortly after the infamous 2012 Benghazi attack, which killed four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, Rice went on the talk show circuit spouting White House talking points that clearly contradicted the evidence on the ground. We now know that the attack was pre-mediated and coordinated by al-Qaeda operatives on the anniversary of 9/11.</p>
<p>But at the time, Rice contended that the attack on the U.S. embassy compound in Libya was a direct reaction to an obscure YouTube video mocking Islam.</p>
<p>&#8220;Based on the best information we have to date, what our assessment is as of the present, is in fact it began spontaneously in <a href="http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/section/benghazi" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Benghazi</a>, as a reaction to what had transpired hours earlier in Cairo, where of course as you know there was a violent protest outside of our embassy, sparked by this hateful video,&#8221; she stated bluntly on CBS’ Face the Nation.</p>

<p>Sorry, Mrs. Rice, but the internet keeps damning videos alive forever.</p>
<p>Rice ultimately took the fall for misleading the public, rescuing then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s political ambitions. (Ultimately, Rice’s martyrdom was carried out in vain as Clinton went on to lose the 2016 presidential election to outsider Donald Trump).</p>
<p>The ambassador resigned from her post as U.S. ambassador only to be transferred to a position in the White House, right next to President Obama himself. As the president’s national security adviser, Rice was effectively promoted, not demoted or fired for lying to the country. She spent the next four years sitting beside military brass and receiving classified information.</p>
<p>Bitter and bored, Rice is now back with a vengeance, attacking Trump for tweets after she single-handedly paved the way for the Congressional investigation into one of the worst terror attacks on a U.S. diplomatic post in decades.</p>
