Leftists attacked Grammy Award-winning Haitian artist Wyclef Jean on social media for a tweet he wrote on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. He was promoting his newest song “Life Matters” when he tweeted the following:
Martin Luther King Jr. fought because all lives matter.
Jean was correct. Dr. King not only fought for civil rights and voting rights for African-Americans, but he also dedicated his life to the philosophy that one’s character matters more than their complexion and fought to build bridges across the racial divide for all Americans.
However, Jean’s choice of words angered many radical Black Lives Matter activists on Twitter.

Jean eventually deleted the tweet, but he later tweeted that his message was misunderstood.

Radical Black Lives Matter activists do not care whether Martin Luther King, Jr. fought for the rights of every American or if their movement’s supporters like Wyclef Jean have defended the movement. If someone says something they do not like, then they do everything to shut down their voice and berate them for committing the sin of having a different opinion than they do.
