Julia Roberts  discussed her “G-rated career” and her refusal to do nude scenes for movies in a wide-ranging interview for British Vogue magazine’s February issue.

The 56-year-old actress told the outlet that things she chooses “not to do” in her professional life are what represent her, noting never doing nudity in movies.

“Not to be criticizing others’ choices, but for me to not take off my clothes in a movie or be vulnerable in physical ways is a choice that I guess I make for myself,” Roberts said. “But in effect, I’m choosing not to do something as opposed to choosing to do something.”

The “Pretty Woman” star also talked about how much the movie industry has changed since she started out in Hollywood.

“Oh, it’s completely different from my time,” Roberts said. “I mean, that’s when I really feel like a dinosaur, when you just look at the structure of the business. It’s completely different.”

“I don’t know if it’s better, because it’s not my experience, but it just seems very different,” she added. “And in a way, it seems so cluttered.”

“There are so many elements to being famous now, it just seems exhausting,” Roberts continued. “It kind of just made this sort of structural sense, and now it just seems more chaotic. There’s more elements, there’s more noise, there’s more outlets, there’s more stuff.”

In 2007, Roberts talked about not doing “nudity in films” and told OK! Magazine that “to act with my clothes on is a performance. To act with my clothes off is a documentary.”

Roberts who married cinematographer Daniel Moder in 2002, became a mom in 2004 when the couple welcomed twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel, and again in 2007 with a son named Henry.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2009, Roberts talked about about not stripping down for films as a mom.

“You know it’s not really what I do, so if you are going to ask me to do it, you have to expect it to be toned down,” the actress said. “You know, as a mom of three, I feel like that.”
