Kára McCullough, America’s newly-crowned Miss USA, is black, a chemist, a government employee who volunteers her time to teach children about science, and she’s an immigrant. But this jaw-droppingly beautiful, pro-science, black immigrant is not diverse enough for the Left. You see, she doesn’t think in the way she is required to think. No, she dares to think for herself, which makes her “diversity” the incorrect kind of diversity.
The Italian born McCullough is just 25-years-old and already helps to regulate nuclear power plants for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. After being promoted Sunday night from Miss District of Columbia to Miss USA, she wept backstage and said she entered the pageant just for fun.
My guess, though, is that the bullying intolerance that now defines the modern-day Left is about to ruin her fun, and will do so pretty quickly.
In the left-wing Twitter-sphere McCullough has already been found guilty of giving two “incorrect” answers during last night’s pageant, one about health care, the other about feminism.
You can bet that our national media is sure to take that baton from here. The left-wing Washington Post has already made McCullough’s controversial answers the focus of their coverage. Newsweek has already made her “controversial opinions” the headline.
The Carrie Prejeaning has already begun.
Does anyone doubt that at the first opportunity left-wing CNN will grill McCullough under hot lights until she “corrects her thinking?” Our national media simply cannot allow a black, self-made immigrant who is now Miss USA to get away with this answer about whether or not health care is a right or privilege:
I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege. As a government employee, I am granted health-care. And I see firsthand that for one to have health-care, you need to have jobs. So therefore, we need to continue to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunities to have health-care as well as jobs to all the American citizens worldwide.
And our media certainly cannot stand by and do nothing after a black, self-made immigrant who is now Miss USA gave this answer about whether or not she considers herself a feminist:
So as a woman scientist in the government, I’d like to lately transpose the word feminism to equalism. I don’t really want to consider myself — try not to consider myself like this die-hard, you know, like, “Oh, I don’t really care about men.” But one thing I’m gonna say, though, is women, we are just as equal as men when it comes to opportunity in the workplace.
Remember Carrie Prejean? She was 2009’s Miss USA. Eventually she was stripped of her crown over controversies that never would have occurred had she simply given the “correct” answer about same-sex marriage. But she didn’t, and within weeks the left and our media completely dismantled her life.
Pageant owner Donald Trump initially stood by Prejean. He pointed out, correctly, that Prejean’s views on same-sex marriage were no different than those held at the time by President Obama. When nude photos of Prejean surfaced, Trump declared them “lovely.”
But the media refused to relent. Prejean had to be destroyed. Eventually, the 22-year-old wilted under the glare, made some mistakes, and lost her crown.
Hold on to your beliefs, Kára McCullough. Hold on to your poise. The media will now try to make you believe your views are in the minority, as outdated as a buggy whip; they will try to fabricate a false reality around you that makes you feel outnumbered, extreme, mean-spirited and backwards.
You are not.
