Game Of Thrones Star: Finale Was Supposed To Teach A Lesson About Donald Trump

Emily Zanotti

The Game of Thrones seventh season ender might have been full of shocking moments and satisfying deaths, but it was, at least according to fan consensus, a little bit boring, as the writers opted for more chatting (and sex-ing) and less fighting between the marquee characters.

But it turns out that those drawn out speeches, especially the ones delivered by King in the North, Jon Snow, were no coincidence, and certainly weren’t born out of desperation for material, though the writers haven’t had much to work with since author George R.R. Martin has stubbornly refused to finish the final books in the Game of Thrones series. It turns out, the writers and actors appear to have intended Jon Snow’s finale speech to be a lesson to the show’s fans about voting in a politician like Donald Trump.
