President Donald Trump administration rescinded the previous administration’s transgender bathroom policy. As expected, the Democrats are howling with rage and spewing their usual hyperbolic nonsense about it.
Here are the seven dumbest Democratic reactions to the revocation of this policy.
1. Interim Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile called the Trump administration’s actions “disgusting violence.” “It’s clear the most extreme elements of this administration are in total control,” the corrupt chairwoman said in a statement, adding, “This isn’t politics, it’s disgusting violence that targets the most vulnerable members of our society.”
2. Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) stating that Trump believes LGBT means “Let’s Go Back in Time.” “President Trump seems to think #LGBT stands for Let’s Go Back in Time,” Markey wrote on Facebook. “We stand with our transgender brothers and sisters in the fight to defend progress. All students deserve to feel safe and valued for who who they are. Shame on you, President Trump. #protecttranskids.”
3. Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) called it “a major setback in the fight for civil rights.”
Trump’s decision to subject transgender kids to bigotry in the name of “states’ rights” marks a major setback in the fight for civil rights https://t.co/mfhz2V9T6a

Every student, no matter their gender identity, should feel welcome in school. We must do more, not less, to achieve this goal

4. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) declaring that the move “targets kids.”
Revoking federal protections for transgender students is an appalling decision that targets kids because of who they are. Shameful. https://t.co/J18WoOh64W

5. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) calling it “a cruel blow.” “Withdrawing the historic guidance from the Obama Administration to protect transgender students is a cruel blow to an already vulnerable group of young people,” Pelosi said in a statement. “This move shows that President Trump cannot be trusted to defend the rights of LGBT Americans. This is not a state issue. This is an issue of equality for all. The Administration’s wanton disregard of protecting the civil rights of the LGBT community is harmful to our communities and our schools.”
6. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) stated that it was “absolutely shameful.”
Absolutely shameful reversal of progress in civil rights & equality for transgender students. https://t.co/uy5YJFsy1m

Instead of his promise to focus on creating jobs & helping working Americans, Trump is giving in to the far-right’s agenda.

7. Washed up actor George Takei stated that Trump has launched a “war on the LGBT community” and it was time “to take our fight to the streets.”
The Trump administration’s war on the LGBT community has begun. Be prepared to take our fight to the streets. Are you with us, LGBT allies?
