Disgraced Democrat Anthony Weiner has only been in prison for five days, yet he already appears to be searching for a pen pal while he serves a near two-year prison sentence for sexual crimes he committed against a minor.

Weiner, 53, reported to Devens Prison in Massachusetts on Monday to begin serving his 21-month sentence, the Daily Mail reported.

The Mail emailed the former congressman on his personal email account and received the following response:

Thanks for reaching out.

Starting November 6th, I’ll be away for a while but I would love to stay in touch. As quaint as it may sound, the best way to reach me is by sending me a letter. When you write, I’ll get you the information about how email might work.

So please include your full mailing address here and of course include it when you write.

And although you didn’t ask – yes, you may send me books via Amazon. (No crockpots or washer/dryers though)

The Mail added that the registered sex-offender can reply to any messages he receives with 49 cent stamps.

Weiner, who has a history of perverse online sexual behavior, is in prison for sending perverted text messages to a 15-year-old girl in which he asked her to get naked for him on Skype and send graphic text messages to him.

The Mail was the first news organization to report on Weiner’s relationship with the 15-year-old, which prompted federal authorities to launch an investigation last September.

Authorities seized digital devices from Weiner to search for possible evidence of a crime and ended up discovering emails for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was previously under criminal investigation for her use of a private email server.

The emails ended up on Weiner’s devices because of his wife, Huma Abedin, who served as Hillary Clinton’s top aide.

As a result of discovering the previously unseen emails, the FBI relaunched its criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton just days before the 2016 election, an event that likely ended up hurting her on election day.
