Sure, we know, hyperbole. "The. Best. Tweet. Ever"?

Read this and then decide for yourself.

The Twitter post from Hollywood actor James Woods came Sunday, in response to a tweet from Bill Kristol, the neoconservative editor-at-large for The Weekly Standard.

To say Kristol vehemently opposes President Trump would be a profound understatement. On November 7, 2016, the day before the presidential election, Kristol wrote a piece titled "#NeverTrump: A Final Word."

"In Donald J. Trump we faced a candidate who is a repulsive person, with dangerous prejudices, who's unfit to be president. Whatever the results tomorrow, I'm proud to have been a part of the opposition to him. We chose to fight and we were right to do so," he wrote.

OK, to each his own. Politics is personal and one's politics is not the measure of the man.

Flash ahead to this past weekend. In a rare appearance, the five living ex-presidents gathered for an event to help the victims of several devastating hurricanes which ravaged Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. George H.W. Bush was there, along with Jimmy Carter, George. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

That prompted Kristol to tweet this:

So, of course, the wags on Twitter went bonkers (and you can read all the responses by clicking the above tweet). But one response was so perfect, so sublime and spot on in just nine words, that it blew away the others. And once again, that rebuttal came from Woods.

So, great tweet, or Best. Tweet. Ever?
