“If the president asks you, you don’t say no,” said Ty Cobb, who recently joined President Donald Trump’s legal team, adding, “I have rocks in my head and steel balls.”

Cobb is a partner with Hogan Lovells, one of the world’s largest multinational law firms. He will resign from his Hogan Lovells position on July 30.

In his incoming West Wing role, Cobb will report directly to the president.

“[There is] no reason to believe the president is under investigation,” said Cobb.

Cobb has worked at Hogan Lovells for almost three decades. His past clients in private practice include Clinton administration cabinet member Eli Segal, a member of the Saudi royal family, IBM, U.S. Steel, and Medtronic.
