Avengers director and ardent anti-Trumper Joss Whedon believes it's "inhuman" and an "act of evil" to oppose the federal funding of abortion mill Planned Parenthood.

That's right. If you oppose federal money being funneled into a lucrative "nonprofit" that kills over 300,000 innocent unborn babies a year, you're the one committing an "act of evil."

In response to the calls from Republicans and President Donald Trump to revoke federal funding from the abortion mill, Whedon created a pro-Planned Parenthood video released on Wednesday. Promoting the video, Whedon put out a statement harshly condemning those who want the corporation defunded.

"If politicians succeed in shutting down Planned Parenthood, millions of people lose access to basic health services. STD testing, birth control, cancer screenings … how can these be at risk?" he said. "For so many, there’s an obvious tipping point between hope and despair. Planned Parenthood is a beacon of hope, and anyone trying to shut it down is committing an act of evil. It’s not just inhumane — it’s inhuman. I just wanted to remind those of us with some humanity still stirring how much is at stake."

Of course, proposals by Republicans would redirect the estimated $500 million of Planned Parenthood funding, and then some, to women's health clinics that do not provide abortion.

Moreover, if Planned Parenthood would like to keep their federal funding for everything they do aside from abortion, all they would have to do is detach from their abortion business. When First Daughter Ivanka Trump reportedly proposed this to the abortion mill, the proposition was turned down.

So, if federal funding is really not affecting the abortion portion of Planned Parenthood (it is), and if the company really cares about women over the almightily dollar (they don't), why not separate the business?

We all know the answer to that.
