Bernie Sanders recently released a list of “artists and cultural leaders” who endorsed his 2016 presidential campaign.

“We — the undersigned artists, musicians, and cultural leaders of America — are excited to endorse a new vision for our country,” the endorsement reads. “It’s a vision that pushes for a progressive economic agenda. It’s a vision that creates jobs, raises wages, protects the environment, and gets big money out of politics.”

Aside from boasting big shot names such as Baby-Killer-Sarah-Silverman and Jew-Hater-Cornell-West, the Bernie endorsement list does a profound job of attracting exceptionally passionate 'visionaries' for its cause.

The Daily Wire reached out to a number of the Bernie visionaries on the endorsement list and asked for their tax statements.

Below is feedback from musical artists on Bernie's list:

CJ Boyd, a bass player and composer in California, told The Daily Wire that he cannot offer his tax statement because he does not pay taxes.

I don’t have any tax statements for the past 8 or 9 years.

On his Bernie endorsement, Boyd said that he does not follow presidential politics, but that he had seen an interview featuring Bernie in which the Democratic candidate was “not into bashing anybody ... I just sort of think he’s the only one running, I mean there’s a lot of entertainment running. It’s funny in a clownish way.”

Yoni Wolf, a hip hop artist who co-founded the record label Anticon in 1998, told The Daily Wire that he did not give money to Bernie’s campaign.

I haven’t given him money if that’s what you mean haha.

Jill Sobule, a singer-songwriter best known for her musical soundtrack for the 1995 film Clueless, told The Daily Wire that as a musician, she would rather not show her tax statement. She referenced Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro, sniffing, "You can call me to talk Bernie, but I am one of the less "famous" of the endorsees. And just knowing Ben, he would probably want to figure out how to snark on that. He can be mean-spirited - but who isn't these days. That is one thing Bernie isn't. I loved how he went to Liberty with respect for the students (and they mostly seemed to show him respect). I wish there was more of that discourse.”

Sobule offered to sing a song on Ben Shapiro’s morning show, possibly one called “right wing radio talk show theme song.” That offer is currently pending.

Corky Seigel, a blues artist who also leads the Seigel-Schwall Band and the Chamber Blues Group, emailed a song to The Daily Wire that he and his wife wrote together, which “expresses our feelings in this current political arena” and “speaks to the issues that Bernie addresses.” The issues he mentioned included “income inequality”, “bigotry”, “civil rights”, “environment”, “religious hypocrisy”, and “the world as one nation.”

“Regarding tax,” Seigel said, “I put everything into paying my musicians and have taken a happy loss for the last three years. LOL!”

Other Bernie endorsees were less responsive or did not respond in time for editing.
